Have you always wanted to learn how to sew but you didn't know where to start? We offer a variety of classes in a group or individual setting. You can test drive one of our user-friendly Baby lock sewing machines while learning the art of sewing or if you prefer bring your own sewing machine to use in class. Whichever option you choose, you will find it to be a fun filled and rewarding experience. 


Please read the following before signing up for a class.

  1. Please let us know at least 2 weeks in advance if you are unable to attend your class.
  2. The class supply list will be given at time time of class sign up.
  3. 20% discount on supplies purchased at time of class sign up.
  4. Please label all belongings such as quilt rulers and rotary cutters.
  5. Please silence all cell phones during class.

Machine Class

Learn your way to a new sewing machine

Earn a Baby lock Rachel sewing machine or equivalent cost towards any other machine model by participating in 16 of the following classes. All 16 classes must be complete to qualify. Any classes missed must be rescheduled at a later date. If you have any questions give us a call.

If you already have a machine and just want to take one or more of the following classes, just give us a call and check to see if we have an open spot. If so, we would love for you to join.

Winter Kids Kamp

Enjoy making a reversible apron and a lap quilt. Class includes10 hours of instruction and supplies for each project.

Wiggles and Giggles

This child’s quilt takes one pieced block of different contrasting prints. By rotating and carefully placing the pieced blocks you will create four worms wiggling their way through the quilt

Table Runner

Careful color placement in the three blocks emphisize the X and O pattern. This is a start to finish project. Learn to cut, piece, assemble, quilt and bind. If you choose to use your own machine for this class you will need to have a 1/4" sewing function and walking foot or ask about using our fantastic classroom machines.

Cathedral windows is a layered patchwork that gives a 3D effect.

Ladybug's Garden

This pattern utilizes a stained glass technique using fusible bias tape. The project is quilted as the leading is machine stitched. Fusible interfacing is used to ensure a smooth finished project.

Underground Railroad block of the month

As you learn to make fifteen different quilt blocks, you will learn the unique story behind each design. Fascinating quilt and stories. Bring a mat, ruler, rotary cutter, pins and scissors.

Dates: First or Second Thursday of each month

Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Fee: $20.00 per month which includes the fabric for that months block. 


 


Individual Sewing Class

These classes are designed for your needs and schedule. All students are welcome. Classes can also be geared toward those who need more help in learning to use the sewing machine, to read and understand a pattern, or to simply perfect a certain skill.

Babylock Embroidery Class

Each month we will create a new project. Improve your hooping, stabilizing and combination designing skills in this class. 

Date: Second Thursday of each month

Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 noon

Fee: $25.00 plus the cost of supplies


 


Children's Sew

Fun! Fun! Your child will learn the basics of machine & hand sewing. A simple project is done in each class, with materials supplied. Please bring scissors, pins, tape measure, and seam ripper.
